We work with you to determine the appropriate financial report

There are three levels of service relating to financial statements: audit, review and compilation. Gunter Barrett & Kostmayer does not provide audited financial statement services as a part of our practice. Our clients are entrepreneurs and closely held companies that typically do not have management or third party assurance needs requiring an audit. With expertise in both reviews and compilations, we determine which financial report is most appropriate for your circumstances and then focus on completing it in a cost efficient manner.

Review – Limited Assurance

Your business may require assurance services for a number or reasons and Gunter Barrett & Kostmayer is committed to providing you timely information and quality service. One solution we offer is a review of your financial statements. A review also includes performing inquiry and analytical procedures which provide us with a basis for expressing limited assurance as to whether there are material modifications that should be made to the statements for them to be in conformity with generally accepted accounting principles.

Compilation – Lowest Level of Assurance

A compilation is the lowest level of assurance services. Gunter Barrett & Kostmayer will compile a presentation of information that includes financial statements which are “the representation of management.” While we do not express any assurance of the reliability of the information, we do confirm that your financial statements are in accordance with Statements on Standards for Accounting and Review Services of the AICPA. A compilation can address internal and external reporting needs.
